The 10mK Methodology emerged from this rich expertise, illuminating the path for leaders navigating today’s complex challenges.

Jawad spent the first 13 years of his career at GE, learning to be a hands-on operational finance leader across several industries and over 20 countries. He was then CFO for Market Track (now known as Numerator), a private-equity backed SaaS marketing intelligence company that he helped guide to a successful 3x exit to Vista Equity.

Jawad then served as CFO at Axon (Nasdaq: AXON) from 2017 to 2022, where he helped lead the company’s transformation to the leading provider of public safety connected technologies with a mission to protect life. During his tenure, he was instrumental in helping grow Axon's market cap from $1 billion to over $13 billion and raised $600 million through two follow-on offerings, including an effective re-IPO of the company from TASR to AXON. His time at Axon  showcased his strategic vision and commitment to organizational growth and shareholder prosperity.

Jawad has also served on 2 public company boards, FARO Technologies (Nasdaq: FARO) and STORE Capital (NYSE: STOR). He was instrumental in helping FARO realize a 40% premium in their sale to Ametek, and a 20% premium for STORE Capital on their sale to GIC.

Today, Jawad invests in early stage companies with founders who wish to embrace the 10mK Methodology.

Jack Houghton
Chief of Staff, 10mK

As Chief of Staff at 10Mk, Jack plays a key role in supporting both the investment process and day to day operations of the firm. Jack assists in evaluating potential investment opportunities by conducting market research, preparing summary reports, and participating in early stage meetings with founders to assess fit.

On the portfolio side, Jack stays closely connected with our companies to monitor performance, track key financial metrics, and identify potential blind spots. The overall focus is on ensuring operational efficiency, clear communication, and strategic support across all areas of the firm.

Previously before 10mK Venture capital, Jack was a results driven entrepreneur and sales professional with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences. As the owner of a successful pressure washing company and another start up company, Jack achieved earnings by excelling in sales, marketing, and business operations.

Jack graduated from Arizona State University, where he built a strong foundation in business, strategic communication, and relationship building skills that have been valuable throughout Jack’s career.

Outside of work, Jack enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, being outdoors, and hanging out with his dog. Jack tries to keep life balanced and grounded, both personally and professionally.
